There is no difference of the appearance between the Cat5 and Cat5e modular plugs, the main difference is that the material, durable performance, and metal copper content. our Cat5e modular plugs are manufactured from high-impact clear polycarbonate to withstand everyday wear and tear, and the contacts are 50micron gold for optimum signal transmission.

It's easy to distinguish by watching. Look at the head of the plug, the eight holes are neatly arranged is Cat5e, the top and bottom interlaced is Cat6.
